CBN/ABCA POLL | D3BASEBALL.COM POLL
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott baseball team has earned its highest national ranking in program history, claiming the No. 12 spot in the final Collegiate Baseball Newspaper (CBN)/American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com polls of the 2022 season, respectively.
Endicott's banner year was highlighted by a program-record 40 wins (40-10 overall | 14-2 CCC), its first-ever trip to the NCAA Super Regionals, and its eighth conference championship in program history.
The Gulls' 2022 resume also featured the following achievements:
- Chosen as the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Team of the Year
- 4 individual Major Awards (CCC Player, Coach, & Scholar-Athlete of the Year | NEIBA Coach of the Year)
- 1 All-America honor
- 14 All-Region selections
- 12 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Conference awards
- 24 CCC Academic All-Conference honorees (the most of any CCC baseball program)
- 1 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® First Team selection
- 1 NEIBA All-Star Game representative
Endicott's previous program-best national ranking was No. 16 overall, which was awarded to the Gulls by the CBN/ABCA earlier this season on May 3.
This year's No. 12 ranking also shattered Endicott's program record in the year-end rankings for both polls.
The previous records were No. 19 (D3baseball.com, prior organizational high) and No. 24 (CBN/ABCA) overall, both occurring at the end of the 2013 season.
