CCC TOURNAMENT: Notarangelo Walk Off Keeps No. 20/21 Endicott Undefeated In Postseason

BEVERLY, Mass. — Nicolas Notarangelo (Taunton, Mass.) ripped a walk-off single to deep left center field to lift No. 20/21 nationally ranked Endicott over Roger Williams, 4-3, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament play on Thursday evening at North Field.

WP (5-2): Max Tarlin (Sharon, Mass.) — 3 2/3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K
LP (0-2): Nick Harper (Westwood, N.J.) — 2/3 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K

Tied 3-3 in the bottom of the ninth, Roger Williams elected to intentionally walk CCC Co-Player of the Year Caleb Shpur (East Canaan, Conn.) with two outs in the frame, first base open, and the game-winning run at second.

Notarangelo was up to the task for the second time this season as the sophomore left-handed hitter pelted Harper's first pitch offering into the gap for the walk-off victory.

Earlier this month (5/3), Notarangelo made Gordon pay for a similar decision with a walk-off single through the right side after Shpur was intentionally walked with one out in the ninth at home.

Joseph Millar (Lake Hopatcon, N.J.), Shpur, and Jake Nardone (Wakefield, Mass.) all drove in runs in the seventh (groundout, 3-3), fifth (groundout, 2-0), and third (bases loaded HBP), respectively.

Meanwhile, Kyle Grabowski (Westfield, Mass.) and Matthew McKinley (Hudson, N.H.) helped set the table from the bottom of the order as the duo combined for three runs (Grabowski 2, McKinley 1).
