Baseball Handles Clarkson, 19-2

DAVENPORT, Fla. — The Endicott baseball team defeated Clarkson, 19-2, in seven innings via mercy rule (10-run lead after seven) on Thursday evening at Northeast Regional Park.

WP (1-0): Ian Parent (Williston, Vt.) — 2 1/3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K
LP (1-1): Nicholas Hofacker (Deer Park, N.Y.) — 2 IP, 6 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 3 BB, 1 K

Caleb Shpur (East Canaan, Conn.) highlighted the offense going 3-for-3 with three runs scored, three RBI, and a walk.

Shpur got the Gulls' offense going in the first inning with a two-run blast to left-center field.

Endicott also saw Nicolas Notarangelo (Taunton, Mass.) post a 2-for-3 line with two runs scored and four RBI, while Jake Nardone (Wakefield, Mass.) went 2-for-5 with one run scored and three driven in.

Robbie Wladkowski (Norwood, Mass.) rounded out the list of stellar performances with a 2-for-5 showing at the plate alongside one run scored and three RBI, which came via a three-run shot in the third (13-0 lead).

As a team, Endicott had 11 student-athletes register at least one hit in the win.
