BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott baseball team took a pair of non-conference games from Husson University, 14-2 & 14-1, on Saturday evening at North Field.

GAME ONE: Endicott 14, Husson 2

WP (2-0): Gabe Van Emon (Lexington, Mass.) – 6 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 5 K
LP (1-2): Cam Graham (Littleton, Maine) – 3 1/3 IP, 7 H, 7 R, 5 ER, 3 BB, 3 K

John Mulready's (Peabody, Mass.) three-run homer to left field set the tone for the day as the Gulls compiled six extra-base hits alone in game one to run away with the contest.

Caleb Shpur (East Canaan, Conn.) lifted Endicott to a 6-2 lead in the fourth with a two-run triple, while Jake Nardone (Wakefield, Mass.) and Kyle Grabowski (Westfield, Mass.) both notched RBI doubles in the sixth (9-2 lead).

Nicolas Notarangelo (Taunton, Mass.) add an RBI double of his own in the seventh (10-2) before Nickolas Perkins (Nashua, N.H.) punctuated the victory with a two-run bomb to right-center later in the frame.

Overall, nine student-athletes tallied at least one hit in the win, highlighted by Perkins' 4-for-4 day (two runs, two RBI).

GAME TWO: Endicott 14, Husson 1

WP (1-0): John Connolly (Attleboro, Mass.) – 5 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
LP (1-1): Connor Abood (Sandown, N.H.) – 1 2/3 IP, 5 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 1 BB

Similar to game one, the Gulls got on the scoreboard with a bang as Shpur jump started the offense in the first inning when he wrecked a two-run homer to left field and the Gulls never looked back.

Shpur also added a two-run single up the middle in the second to make it 5-0 before concluding his 4-for-4 evening with an RBI double to left-center in the fourth (7-1 lead).

Overall, Shpur finished the contest with two doubles, one homer, four runs scored, one walk, and five RBI.

Other highlights for Endicott included Joseph Millar (Lake Hopatcong, N.J.) going 2-for-3 (two doubles) with two runs scored and a walk from the leadoff spot.

Notarangelo also drove in a run with a double in the fourth (8-1) and Perkins blasted another two-run homer to right in the seventh (12-1).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• Endicott is 6-2 all-time against Husson.
• The Gulls have won five straight versus the Eagles.
• Today's doubleheader was the first meeting between the two programs since 4/19/2014).
• Notarangelo, Perkins, and Shpur all had five hits apiece in today's sweep.
• Shpur concluded the doubleheader with seven RBI.
• The Gulls produced 14 extra-base hits in the pair of victories.
