Beverly, MA-- In the second game of the Salve double header, the Gulls scored two runs in the 4th, and did not allow a Seahawk run, improving the Gulls Conference record to 14-1.
Elyse Colby started the 4th inning off with a single, and advance to second on a sacrifice hit by Megan Huckins. Rachel Pearson singled, and advanced to second on a center fielder error, which allowed Colby to cross home plate, scoring the Gulls first of two runs. Chelsey Conant pinch ran for Pearson, and scored on a first baseman error, capping the score at two for EC.
Nicole Reather earned the win, facing 19 batters, striking out two. Robyn Savitske earned her 4th save of the season, coming in for relief in the sixth, with one out. Savitske struck out four Seahawk batters.
The Gulls post an overall record of 21-2-1. The team travels to Wentworth tomorrow for a double header. The first pitch is set for 2:00p.m.
