Henniker, NH-- In a Commonwealth Coast Conference double header, the EC Gulls took two from New England College. In game one, freshman Rachel Pearson was 3-3 with two RBI's, leading the Gulls to the 3-1 victory.
In the 4th inning, Elyse Colby had a lead off walk. Two batters later, Pearson had her first RBI of the day with a homerun, scoring Colby from 1st, and giving the Gulls the lead. In the 7th, it was Pearson again, tacking on her second hit of the day. Missy Swymer came in for Perason as a pinch runner, and advanced to third on a Laura Schack single. Two batters later, Morgan Finegan would single Swymer home, brining in the final run of the game.
Robyn Savitske was outstanding on the mound, taking a perfect game into the 7th inning. She gave up a leadoff walk and a double before retiring 2 of the last 4 batters of the game to seal the victory. Savitske gave up only one run, one hit, one walk, and fanned eleven. Savitske faced just 2 batters over the minimum to improve her record to 6-0 on the season.
