In the first game, the Gulls scored one run in the fourth and four in the 7th for the shutout win. In the fourth inning, with Megan Huckins on third base, Katie Doherty hit a sacrifice fly to left field, which allowed Huckins to tag and score as the ball jarred loose by the Crusader catcher.
The game remained the same score until the 7th inning when Paula McGinn singled in Nicole Reather. McGinn advanced to second on a passed ball and would score on an Ashley Labella double. Labella would score the fourth run of the game when Megan Young hit an RBI single. Elyse Colby tacked on another Gulls hit, followed by an RBI single by Huckins, scoring Young from third.
Robyn Savitske improved her perfect pitching record to 8-0, allowing no runs, four hits and fanning 11.
