BEVERLY, Mass. — No. 3/3 Endicott baseball senior third baseman Robbie Wladkowski (Norwood, Mass.) has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week, the organization announced on Wednesday morning.
In Endicott's 5-0 week (3-0 CNE), Wladkowski posted video game numbers.
The Gulls' third baseman slashed .563 AVG / .682 OBP / 1.438 SLG with four homers, two doubles, an astronomical 15 RBI's, and 11 runs scored.
He kicked off his big week with a 2-for-3 day in a 5-0 win over Johnson and Wales on Monday. He logged a single, a run, and a walk on the afternoon.
Then, on Tuesday at Suffolk, he had a career day. He went 4-for-4 with two homers, a double, and a single, scored four runs, and broke a program single-game record with his eight RBI's.
The following day at UMass Dartmouth, he went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, a hit-by-pitch, and three runs scored.
He concluded his monster week with Saturday's CNE doubleheader sweep over Roger Williams. Over the two games, he went two-for-five with two homers, one of which was a grand slam and the other a three-run shot. He also reached base a total of five times in the doubleheader.
This is Wladkowski's first career D3baseball.com Team of the Week award.
