Bagshaw And Cannata Honored As D3baseball.com Preseason All-Americans

D3BASEBALL.COM RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott College baseball pitchers Kyan Bagshaw (Amherst, N.H.) and Nicholas Cannata (Marlborough, Conn.) have received D3baseball.com Preseason All-America Third Team honors, the organization announced on Tuesday morning.

Bagshaw and Cannata are the sixth and seventh Endicott baseball student-athletes to earn Preseason All-American nods, and just the second and third pitchers in program history to do so (Nick Quattro '16).

NICHOLAS CANNATA | GR. | SP | MARLBOROUGH, CONN.

Cannata returns to the Gulls for his graduate season in 2025 after his stellar senior season in 2024 that helped the team reach the Division III College World Series for the second straight season.

In 2024, he ranked tops in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and 38th in all of Division III with a 2.33 ERA through 12 starts and 65.2 IP.

He limited opponents to just a .190 batting average against on the season, which placed him third in the CCC and second among the Gulls staff.

Additionally, his WHIP of 1.02 ranked first among the Endicott staff (minimum 31 IP) and 29th nationally (minimum 42 IP).

His 2024 campaign was highlighted by a dominant complete-game outing against Western New England on May 11, which secured Endicott's third consecutive CCC Championship. The right-hander went the distance and didn't allow an earned run in the contest, retiring six Golden Bears by way of the K along the way. He induced a fly ball to left field to finalize the historic win for then-No. 1 nationally ranked Endicott.

Over his Endicott career, Cannata ranks third all-time in games started (36), third in lowest opponent batting average (.206), third in strikeouts (193), fifth in innings pitched (212.0), seventh in ERA (3.01), and T-eighth in wins (18).

This is his first career Preseason All-America honor.

KYAN BAGSHAW | JR. | RP | AMHERST, N.H.

Bagshaw earned a spot on the D3baseball.com Preseason All-America Third Team after his 2024 season saw him claim All-America Fifth Team accolades.

Over his 22 appearances and 32.2 IP out of the bullpen in 2024, the southpaw featured a record of 4-0, an ERA of 1.93 (second on team min. 30 IP), 39 strikeouts (10.74 K/9), a 1.07 WHIP (T-3rd on team), and four saves (T-team lead).

His arm was heavily relied upon in the most stressful high leverage, including the 2024 DIII College World Series. He picked up the win in 0.2 IP against No. 9/12 Pomona-Pitzer on June 1, 2024, capturing Endicott's first-ever victory in the College World Series.

Additionally, his season-long outing came against Salem State on March 3, when he earned the win in 3.1 IP and retired all 10 batters faced, fanning five along the way.

Through his first two seasons, Bagshaw ranks fourth among all pitchers in program history with a .154 opponent batting average.

This is his first career Preseason All-America nod.
