SALEM, Mass. — The No. 2/6 Endicott baseball team defeated Salem State, 21-6, in non-conference action on Friday evening.
WP (1-1): Charlie Hale (Brookline, N.H.) — 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K
LP (0-1): Aidan Carabello (Wallingford, Conn.) — 2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 0 K
Joey Frammartino (North Reading, Mass.) gave the Gulls' offense a much needed jolt in the top of the second inning when he belted a grand slam to deep right center to bring the contest within one run, 5-4.
Danny MacDougall (Taunton, Mass.) came around to score on a passed ball to even up the matchup, 5-5, and Endicott's offense outscored Salem State 16-1 the rest of the way for the eventual victory.
Frammartino finished the non-conference bout going 4-for-5 from the leadoff spot with two runs scored and a game-high six RBI.
He was one of seven student-athletes to register a multi-hit game, while eight other Gulls drove in at least one run.
Chris Jenkins (Mansfield, Mass.) stabilized the pitching staff in the second and third innings via four hits, one unearned run, zero walks, and a punchout.
Hale, Max Jarvie (Wilton, Conn.), and Brandon McSorley (Melrose, Mass.) stifled the Vikings over the final six innings to push the Gulls' winning streak to three straight.
Richard Foresteire (Plymouth, Mass.) rounded out the list of individual highlights with a solo blast, the first of his career, in the ninth.

- Endicott is 21-17-2 all-time against Salem State.
- Jarvie made his collegiate debut.
- Frammartino hit his second career grand slam (3/26/24 vs. Suffolk, 23-2 win).
