CNE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 4/4 nationally ranked Endicott baseball team has received two Conference of New England (CNE) weekly award-winners, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.

Charlie Hale (Brookline, N.H.) earned CNE Pitcher of the Week honors, while Cade Bernardo (Glenmont, N.Y.) took home his second straight CNE Rookie of the Week award.

CHARLIE HALE | SO. | SP | CNE PITCHER OF THE WEEK

On Thursday afternoon against The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) down in Winter Haven, Fla., Hale cruised through six innings of work against the Lions.

The right-hander struck out seven while allowing just one hit and one walk.

He earned the win to improve his record to 3-1 on the season. His six-inning start was a season-high.

This is the sophomore's first career CNE Pitcher of the Week award.

CADE BERNARDO | SO. | INF | CNE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Bernardo was a big contributor offensively in Endicott's 4-1 week (2-0 CNE). The sophomore infielder slashed .483 AVG / .550 OBP / .750 SLG through the five game stretch.

He went 7-for-16 with two doubles, a home run (second career homer), and a team-high six RBI's.

His efforts were on full display in Saturday's CNE doubleheader sweep against Nichols, as he went four-for-five with a homer, a double, two singles, and three RBI's against the Bison over the two games.

This is Bernardo's second straight (and second career) CNE Rookie of the Week award.
