BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 2/3 nationally ranked Endicott baseball team kicks off its 2025 campaign this Saturday in LaGrange, Ga. Here's an inside look at the Gulls' upcoming 2025 season:
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- This year's team received the highest ever preseason rankings in both the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the D3baseball.com polls. The previous program-high mark was set by the 2024 squad, who entered the season with a No. 4 ranking.
- The Gulls return graduate students John Mulready (Peabody, Mass.) (catcher), Nicholas Cannata (Marlborough, Conn.) (starting pitcher), and Kyle Grabowski (Westfield, Mass.) (infield) in 2025. Additionally, graduate transfers Will Frain (Hamilton, Mass.) (outfield; Trinity) and Ian Brown (Darien, Conn.) (infield; Grinnell) are set to kick off their debut seasons with the Gulls.
- Transfer infielder Cade Bernardo (Glenmont, N.Y.) looks to make a big impact in his first season with the Gulls. He transferred from the University of Maine, similar to fellow corner infielder and senior captain Danny MacDougall (Taunton, Mass.).
- Junior reliever Kyan Bagshaw (Amherst, N.H.) and Cannata were each named as 2025 D3baseball.com Preseason All-Americans.
- MacDougall and Mulready were named as the captains of this year's squad. The two have been a crucial part of the program's historic success over the course of the past two seasons, which included two College World Series runs, a No. 1 national ranking for 10 weeks straight, and a three-peat of Commonwealth Coast Conference championships.
