AVCA DIVISION III ALL-REGION FIRST TEAM

Hadley Helenbrook | So. | OH | Atlanta, Ga.

For the second straight season, Helenbrook has received AVCA All-Region accolades in 2024. Helenbrook set a new career high with 489 kills and a new career-best for kills per set with 5.04. The sophomore has set the program record for kills in a season surpassing Emma Mancini's record of 454 set in 2017. The Atlanta, Ga. native has posted 552 points this season, leading the team (5.7 points per set) and is a program record. This season the CNE Player of the Year also set the program record for kills in a match with 36 against Wentworth on Oct. 1 and was then AVCA/GameChanger Division III Player of the Week for the first time in program history. Across Division III, Helenbrook ranks in the top 10 in Kills Per Set (2nd), Points Per Set (2nd), Total Kills (6th), and Points (7th). The 2024 accolade follows her 2023 AVCA All-Region honorable mention nod and is the first student-athlete in program history to earn AVCA All-Region First Team honors during their sophomore season.

AVCA DIVISION III ALL-REGION HONORABLE MENTION

Hannah Maguire | Fr. | S | San Jose, Calif.

For the first time in her career, Maguire has received AVCA All-Region accolades, drawing honorable mention accolades in 2024. Maguire has been in the middle of the action all season for the Gulls, recording 983 assists, good for 9.93 assists per set. The freshman ranks second on the team in digs with 272 (2.75 digs per set) and also total blocks with 38 (four block solo and 34 block assists). In her first-ever career game against WPI on Aug. 30, the San Jose, Calif. native recorded 54 assists which tied for fifth all-time for assists in a single match, and then matched that total in the Gulls 3-2 win over No. 11 Trinity (Tex.). During the season, the CNE Rookie of the Year put together 15 double-doubles (assists-digs) in both CNE Tournament matches. Nationally, Maguire ranks first in the conference and 22nd nationally in Assists Per Set. Maguire joins Helenbrook and Riley Donahue as the only three freshmen to make an AVCA All-Region team.

Emma Ruel | Sr. | DS | Duxbury, Mass.

Ruel joins the list of AVCA All-Region honorees for the first time in her career, being named to the honorable mention team. Ruel has been a consistent stalworth on the back line throughout her career as she became the 15th student-athlete in program history to record 1,000 or more digs when she had nine versus Maine Maritime on Sept. 6. This season the senior leads the Gulls with 350 digs and 3.40 digs per set, including a season-high 25 digs against Western New England on Oct. 26. Ruel has set career highs this season in both assists (100) and service aces (43) along with 16 games going perfect in serve receive, leading to her being named the CNE Libero of the Year for the second consecutive season. The Duxbury, Mass. native was named Tournament Most Outstanding Player, as she finished with 34 digs (4.86 digs per set), nine assists, three service aces, and was a perfect 15-15 in serve receive.
