Women's Volleyball Falls To Tufts, 3-0

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Endicott women's volleyball team dropped a hard-fought match versus Tufts, 3-0, by scores of 24-26, 20-25, and 14-25 on Wednesday night inside Cousens Gymnasium.

Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) led the way for the Gulls with 14 kills. The sophomore added 10 digs and two total blocks (one solo and one assist).

Ava Grace Dresback (Pawcatuck, Conn.) and Angelina Fitzharris (Webster, N.Y.) both added five kills. Fellow freshman Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) ran the Gulls' offense via a match-high 26 assists and defensively led the way with 12 digs. 

Also on the backline Amelia Beigel (Amherst, Mass.) and Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) both recorded nine digs apiece. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Tufts is 15-6 in the all-time series against Endicott.
  • The Gulls move to 11-6 in non-conference action this season.
  • Just the fourth time this season the Gulls have been swept. 
  • 10th double-double of the season for Helenbrook.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (17-6) travels to conference opponent Curry this Friday at 6 PM. Tufts (4-3) welcomes Wesleyan (Conn.) to Medford on Friday at 7 PM.
