Women's Volleyball Drops Twin Bill On Saturday

BABSON PARK, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference matches to Brandeis (3-0) and Babson (3-1) on Saturday afternoon at Staake Gymnasium.

BRANDEIS 3, ENDICOTT 0 (18-25, 20-25, 18-25)

Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) led the way for the Gulls with eight kills.

Annie Draper (North Kingston, R.I.) added five putaways in the loss, while Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) registered 14 assists and seven digs. 

Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) compiled a team-high nine digs from the back row.


BABSON 3, ENDICOTT 1 (32-30, 22-25, 22-25, 20-25)

Helenbrook paced the Gulls once again with 20 kills alongside 12 digs.

Ava Grace Dresback (Pawcatuck, Conn.) notched 13 kills, while Megan Murphy (Danvers, Mass.) contributed eight from the middle (.467).

Maguire facilitated the offense via a match-high 43 assists and also highlighted the defense with a career-high 18 digs.


BEYOND THE BOX SCORES

  • Helenbrook has compiled 20 or more kills in five matches this season.
  • Set one against Babson featured 15 ties and eight lead changes (28 ties, 12 leads changes in the whole match).
  • Endicott and Babson are both receiving votes in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (6-5) opens up Conference of New England (CNE) play on Wednesday, September 25 at UNE for a 7 PM match.
