Women's Volleyball Sweeps Saturday Doubleheader

WALTHAM, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team defeated Ursinus (3-1) and Regis (Mass.) (3-2) on Saturday afternoon at Shaprio Court on the campus of Brandeis University. 

ENDICOTT 3, URSINUS 1 (25-19, 20-25, 25-18, 26-24)

Hadley Helenbrook (Atlanta, Ga.) led the way with a double-double with 14 kills and 14 digs.

Ava Grace Dresback (Pawcatuck, Conn.) and Stephanie Moreau (Methuen, Mass.) both added eight kills in the victory, while Annie Draper (North Kingston, R.I.) contributed four putaways. 

Hannah Maguire (San Jose, Calif.) was in the middle of the action all match with 32 assists, a team-high 15 digs, three block assists, and a service ace. 

Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) also compiled double-digit digs throughout the match with 13 to go with three service aces.


ENDICOTT 3, REGIS (Mass.) 2 (14-25, 25-17, 25-20, 20-25, 15-7)

Helenbrook paced the attack with 24 kills while Kelsey Sanborn (Londonderry, N.H.) added 12 putaways in the five-set victory. Helenbrook recorded another double-double with 12 digs.

Maguire ran the attack with 42 assists and defensively, recorded a team-high 14 digs.

Ruel was stout on the backline again with 10 digs to go with two assists.


BEYOND THE BOX SCORES

  • First-ever meeting versus Ursinus and the Gulls are 18-2 all-time against Regis.
  • Helenbrook led Endicott with 38 kills in the two matches.
  • Across the two matches, Moreau collected 11 block assists.

Endicott (3-0) hosts Maine Maritime on Friday, September 6 at 6 PM.
