Women's Basketball Drops Season Opener To Coast Guard, 92-57

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's basketball team dropped its 2023-24 season opener to Coast Guard on Friday night, 92-57.

Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.) led the Gulls with 15 points, seven rebounds, and one block on the evening. 

Alyssa Garabedian (Cheshire, Mass.) chipped in some support off the bench, as she scored six points, dished out four assists, and snagged two steals in her 21 minutes of play.

Freshman Cora Nadeau (Newport, Vt.) was another bright spot off the bench, as she dropped four points and collected five rebounds in her collegiate debut.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls had nine players see the floor for at least 12 minutes of action.
  • Chloe Bindon (Walpole, Mass.) played 25 minutes in her collegiate debut and scored five points, dished out three assists, and brought down two rebounds for the Blue and Green.
  • With tonight's loss, Coast Guard takes a slight 5-4 edge in the all-time series.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (0-1) travels to Springfield College on Tuesday, November 14 at 7 PM. Coast Guard (1-0) hosts RPI on Tuesday, November 14 at 7 PM.
