CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott softball student-athlete Maria Hanchuk (South Windsor, Conn.) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Week accolades, as announced by the league office.

Last week for the Gulls (4/11-17), Hanchuk earned two wins against No. 11 nationally ranked Tufts and Western New England, one of the top teams in the CCC. 

Against No. 11 Tufts, Hanchuk went the distance, tossing seven innings, allowing seven hits and two runs, while striking out five for the victory.

Hanchuk followed up that performance with another complete game, allowing just four hits and one run alongside four strikeouts to claim the 2-1 win. 

For the week, she threw 14.0 innings, allowed 11 hits, and three runs, while striking out nine.

This is Hanchuk's third straight CCC Pitcher of the Week award and sixth overall.

Endicott (17-7, 9-1 CCC) hosts Salem State on Tuesday, April 19 at 3/5 PM.
