Game 2
Endicott finished its regular season in style today defeating the Bison of Nichols College twice. In beating Nichols twice they clinched the regular season CCC title and will be the \#1 seed in next weeks upcoming tournament.
The Gulls did not let up in the second game, scoring 8 more runs on 11 hits. Nicole Reather was sent to the mound for Game 2 and allowed no runs, 1 hit and struck out 2. Reather boosts her record to 12-4.
The hit parade started in the top of the 1st inning. Jennilee Danielson and Elyse Colby both singled. Danielson would score on an error by the left fielder and Colby would advance home on an RBI single by Megan Huckins. Adrienne Guzman then singled and Laura Mangini was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Nicole Reather then helped her cause by singling home Huckins and Katie Doherty then knocked in Guzman. Ashley Labella would once again clear the bases with another single this time with 2 RBI's attached.
Endicott would add one more run in the 2nd inning when Megan Young singled to start the inning. She advanced to second on a wild pitch and then stole third and would later score on a Huckins RBI fielder's choice. One more run was added in the 4th, when Labella doubled and scored on another Huckins RBI.
Labella duplicated her performance from the first game, going 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI and Huckins finished 2-3 with 3 RBI and 1 run scored.
With the two wins, the Gulls finished the regular season with a record of 25-8-1 and were 20-2 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The great regular season clinched the \#1 seeding in the playoffs which start on Tuesday April 27th at 5pm.
