Game 2
The second game of today's doubleheader saw the Gulls pound out 8 hits and 8 runs to go on for the victory. Nicole Reather was solid once again on the mound. Reather improved to 10-3, allowing only 1 hit, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.
Endicott would only need 5 innings to beat Eastern Nazarene. In the second back to back walks by Megan Huckins and Jennilee Danielson would start off the rally. Laura Mangini would then reach on an error, allowing Huckins to score. Danielson then scored on a passed ball, moving Mangini to third. Kacy Beloin then hit and RBI single to left scoring Mangini. Beloin would later score on an RBI single by Laura Schack.
In the 3rd, more scoring was done by Endicott. Huckins and Danielson once again started it off, this time with back to back singles. Mangini then walked to load the bases. Katie Doherty would then hit a long sacrifice fly allowing Huckins to score. Beloin would then get another RBI single. Mangini would then score on an errand throw by the shortstop. This left the score 7-0 after three innings.
Finally, with Beloin on third and Ashley Labella at second Megan Young knocked an RBI base hit to finalize the game.
Offensively, Beloin was 2-2, with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Young also finished 2-3 with an RBI. Danielson and Huckins played well defensively as well.
The win improved the Gulls to 21-8-1 overall and 16-2 in the CCC. They will play next tomorrow versus conference foe, Wentworth at 3:30 at Endicott.
