Game 1
The Gulls won the first game of their doubleheader today versus Eastern Nazarene. Robyn Savitske, who was also named co-rookie of the week, had another great outing. Savitske pitched 7 strong innings, allowing only 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 7. Her record now stands at 9-3.
The scoring started in 4th inning with a Megan Huckins walk and a Jennilee Danielson single. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Nicole Reather singled the bases loaded. Katie Doherty then drew a tough walk for the RBI.
In the 5th, the Gulls started things off with a Laura Schack triple. Megan Young then walked and stole second. Schack was caught in a rundown and tagged out and Young advanced to third. Elyse Colby then hit an RBI single. Huckins then singled home Colby who had moved up on an error and a passed ball. Huckins would advance to third and later score on a sacrifice fly by Danielson. This left the Gulls with a 4-0 cushion which would be plenty behind Savitske.
Endicott was led by Schack, who was 2-4 with a double and a triple. Also having multiple hit games were Reather, Danielson and Ashley Labella.
