Gulls Look To Repeat
The 2004 Women's Softball team will have a tough act to follow. Last season saw the Gulls record a 36-5 record. Along with this remarkable record was their first ever NCAA appearance in which they won their first game 2-1 over Fitchburg State College. The Gulls also completed their second undefeated CCC conference schedule finishing at 21-0. In addition to that the Lady Gulls currently hold a 50-game winning streak in conference. Endicott will have to replace six key graduates in Renee Kelly, Adrienne Leone, Melanie Dutney, Nicole Zimmerman, Becky Bell and Michelle Vaillancourt. Kelly, Leone and Dutney led the charge on the mound and will be tough to replace, but Head Coach Mark Veilleux has brought in some young talent to go along with senior Laura Mangini. Freshmen Robyn Savitske, Laura Schack, and Nicole Reather should all vie for time on the mound as well as in the field. Key returnees for Endicott are: Seniors Mangini(P/OF), Adrienne Guzman (OF), Kacy Beloin (IF), Juniors Elyse Colby (SS), Jennilee Danielson (OF), and Megan Young (C) along with one of the CCC's leading power hitters in Sophomore Megan Huckins, who hit 10 homeruns last season.
