The Lady Gulls started their 2003 season with a week of doubleheaders in Fort Myers, Florida. They played 10 games in five days. They started off their season on a good note beating Fisher College 10-0 and finishing the trip beating Wisconsin Osh-Kosh 9-4. The Gulls took off to a fast start finishing their Florida trip with a record of 7-3. The Gulls went on to win the next 30 games straight, with big wins over University of New England, Roger Williams, Salve Regina and New England College. The tremendous regular season propelled them into landing the \#1 seed in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament. The Gulls hosted the CCC tournament and received a bye the first round, before beating Wentworth in the second round. Endicott then went on to beat \#2 ranked Salve Regina in the semi-finals and after Salve won the loser's bracket, Endicott came back to beat them again in the finals. The CCC championship win gave the Gulls an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. In the NCAA tournament Endicott earned the \#3 seed and drew \#6 seed Fitchburg State in the first round. The Gulls slipped past Fitchburg State 2-1 in what proved to be the first ever NCAA win in Endicott history. After winning in their first game, the Gulls had to come back and face \#2 seeded Wheaton. Wheaton was ranked \#7 in the country and the Gulls lost a close one 5-4 knocking them into the loser's bracket. The next game brought a tough Keene State team that eliminated the Gulls 4-0. Endicott's softball team achieved a lot in the 2003 season. It posted a final mark of 36-5 along with 50 straight regular season CCC wins dating back to 2002. It also saw a lot of individual achievements. Seniors Adrienne Leone and Renee Kelley were named CCC Player of the Year and CCC Pitcher of the Year, respectively. Renee Kelley, Nicole Zimmerman, Adrienne Leone and Michelle Vaillancourt were all named to First Team All CCC. The Second Team consisted of Megan Huckins and Jennilee Danielson and Becky Bell also received honorable mention.
