Game 1
The Gulls went into today in 2nd place in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with a record of 11-1. Their opponent, Roger Williams was in 1st place with a perfect record of 12-0. This game proved to be huge as the Gulls would pull to a tie for first place by beating Roger Williams 2-0.
The Gulls were led by the strong pitching of Robyn Savitske. Savitske pitched 7 innings giving up only 1 hit and striking out 7. Savitske improved to 7-3 with the win.
The scoring started in the 1st inning when Megan Huckins and Megan Young posted back-to-back walks. Elyse Colby then smacked a double to right-centerfield scoring Huckins from second base.
Laura Schack started off the 2nd inning with a bunt single and would later advance to third on an error by the right fielder. Ashley Labella then singled her home with an RBI up the middle.
Nicole Reather, Colby and Schack all played well defensively in the win.
