CCC CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 2 Endicott Travels To No. 1 UNE For League Crown On Saturday (7 PM)

BEVERLY, Mass. – The second-seeded Endicott men's ice hockey team (20-6-1) is set to visit top-seeded University of New England (UNE) in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship game on Saturday at 7 PM. Here's a preview of Saturday's championship matchup.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW 

  • The Nor'Easters (20-3-1) hold a 7-4-3 advantage in the all-time series over the Gulls. 
  • No. 11 nationally-ranked UNE and No. 13 nationally-ranked Endicott split their three regular season matchups this year (1-1-1). 
  • The Nor'easters rank first in the conference in power play goal percentage (23.6%, 25 PPG, No. 18 in D3), while the Gulls are first in penalty kill percentage (93.2%, No. 1 in D3).
  • UNE has posted an 11-2-0 record at home this season, while visiting Endicott enters Saturday's matchup 9-4-0 away from The Nest. 
  • The Gulls will look to capture their third CCC Championship and the Nor'easters will look to win their second league title on Saturday.

The winner of Saturday's game will be crowned the CCC Champion and earn the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA Selection Show will air on Monday, March 7 at 10:30 AM EST on NCAA.com.
