No. 15 Men’s Ice Hockey Bests Suffolk, 5-3

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 15 Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Suffolk, 5-3, in conference action on Friday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Endicott raced out to a 3-0 lead in the first period (all power play goals) and never looked back in the contest.

Connor Beatty (Concord, N.H.), Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.), and Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.) all scored in the first period, while Connor Amsley (Carlisle, Pa.) and Thomas Albert (Reading, Mass.) found the back of the net in the second (SH, 1:28, 4-0) and third (PP, 3:05, 5-2) periods, respectively.

In goal, Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) made 23 saves to improve to 16-5-1 on the season and 50-17-3 in his career.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • O'Brien is the all-time wins leader.
  • Endicott is 9-2-1 at The Nest this season.
  • The Gulls are 5-1-0 in the month of February.

No. 15 Endicott (17-6-1, 14-5-1 CCC) travels to Salve Regina tomorrow for an 8 PM contest. Suffolk (7-12-4, 6-10-4 CCC) hosts Wentworth tomorrow at 7 PM.
