Men’s Ice Hockey Handles Wentworth, 4-1

EVERETT, Mass. – The Endicott men's ice hockey team bested Wentworth, 4-1, on Saturday night in conference action at Allied Veteran's Memorial Rink.

Mitch Shaheen (North Andover, Mass.) scored two short-handed goals (2nd – 10:31 | 3rd – 18:42, EN), while Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) and Cam Speck (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) also scored in the win.

Meanwhile, in goal, Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) made 25 saves to push his record to 15-4-1 overall this season (49-16-3).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 14-3-0 all-time against Wentworth (4-1-0 last five).
  • Endicott is 8-3-0 on the road this season.
  • Shaheen tied his school record for most short-handed (12/4/21 vs. Curry).
  • Speck buried his first career game-winner and power play goal on a slapshot from the point at 13:03 of the first period.
  • The Gulls (16-5-1) have won at least 16 games in every season since the program started in 2015-16 (does not count 2020-21).

Endicott (16-5-1, 13-4-1 CCC) travels to No. 11 University of New England on Tuesday, February 15 at 7 PM. Wentworth (5-15-3, 4-13-2 CCC) hosts Curry on Friday, February 18 at 7 PM.
