No. 15 Men’s Ice Hockey Tops Salve Regina, 2-1

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The No. 15 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Salve Regina, 2-1, in conference action on Saturday night.

Tied 1-1 in the third period, Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) potted the eventual game-winner at the 8:17 mark when he finished a second-chance opportunity off a net drive.

Ryan Gaulin (Kingston, N.H.) also found the back of the twine in the victory off a rebound near the left post in the first period (8:23).

In goal, Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) made 25 saves to improve to 17-5-1 overall on the season (51-17-3 career).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 9-4-0 on the road this season.
  • Salve Regina is 6-4-1 at St. George's School Ice Rink in 2021-22.
  • Kurapov extended his point streak to 12 straight games.

No. 15 Endicott (18-6-1, 15-5-1 CCC) and Salve Regina (16-7-2, 14-5-2 CCC) will now await the announcement of their respective seeding in the upcoming Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament later this weekend.
