CCC QUARTERFINALS: No. 13 Men’s Ice Hockey Upends Wentworth, 6-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — The second-seeded and No. 13 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated seventh-seeded Wentworth, 6-1, on Saturday evening in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament quarterfinals at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Connor Amsley (Carlisle, Pa.) and Ryan Gaulin (Kingston, N.H.) paced the offense with two goals apiece, while Thomas Albert (Reading, Mass.) and Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) also found the back of the net in the win.

In goal, Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) stopped 25 shots to improve to 18-5-1 on the season (52-17-3 career).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 15-3-0 all-time against Wentworth (3-1-0 this season).
  • The Gulls are 10-2-1 at home this season.
  • Endicott is 8-2-0 all-time in the CCC Tournament (9-3-0 playoffs overall).
  • O'Brien has recorded 25 or more saves in 14 games this season.
  • Kurapov's notched his team-leading fifth game-winning goal in the second (5:28, PP) to extend his points streak to 13 straight games.

Wentworth's season comes to a close at 5-18-3 overall.
