BEVERLY, Mass. — The second-seeded and No. 13 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team (19-6-1) is set to host fourth-seeded Curry (16-8-2) in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament semifinals on Wednesday, March 2 at 7 PM. Here's a preview of the playoff matchup.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Endicott holds a 12-4-0 advantage over Curry in the all-time series (winners in 4 out of the last 5; 6-2 at home).
  • The Colonels have ranked as high as No. 10 in the USCHO.com poll this season.
  • Endicott and Curry enter Wednesday's match ranked No. 3 and No. 4 in goals per game (3.50 | 3.27) and No. 1 and No. 3 in goals against average (1.57 | 2.22), respectively, in the conference.
  • Colonels' junior forward Timmy Kent (Parkland, Fla.) ranks second among all NCAA Division III student-athletes in goals per game at 0.83 (20 goals, 24 games played).
  • Curry is 5-6-2 on the road this year.

WHAT'S NEXT

The winner between Endicott and Curry will play the winner of No. 1 University of New England/No. 6 Nichols in the CCC Championship game on Saturday, March 5 at the highest remaining seed (time TBD). The winner of that game will be named the 2022 CCC Men's Ice Hockey Tournament Champion and earn the league's automatic qualifier into the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championship.
