CCC SEMIFINALS: Mazur Punches Endicott's Championship Ticket With OT Winner Vs. Curry, 2-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott junior forward Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.) scored at the 5:50 mark of overtime to lift the second-seeded Gulls past fourth-seeded Curry, 2-1, on Wednesday night in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Semifinals at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Mazur rifled home his sixth career game-winner (second this season) from the slot through traffic after dangling a Colonels' defender in the left face-off circle.

Connor Amsley (Carlisle, Pa.) and Eric Manoukian (Manalapan, N.J.) were credited with assists on the tally.

Amsley was responsible for the Gulls' zone entry near the right boards before he dished it off to Mazur behind the net. From there, Mazur sent a clean pass up the left boards to initiate a give-and-go to help free himself for the game-winner.

Endicott trailed 1-0 just 1:14 into the contest, but the Gulls never wavered eventually finding the equalizer on the stick of Mitch Shaheen (North Andover, Mass.) at the 5:38 mark of the second.

Meanwhile, in goal, Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) stopped 27 shots to improve to 19-5-1 on the season (53-17-3 career).
