No. 7 Men’s Ice Hockey Downs Western New England, 4-1

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The No. 7 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Western New England, 4-1, in conference action on Thursday evening at the Olympia Ice Center.

Tied 1-1 in the third period, Endicott rattled off three unanswered goals to run away with the victory.

The Gulls saw Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.), Connor Amsley (Carlisle, Pa.), and Drew Lorinchak (Hamilton, Va.) all find the back of the net during the run (3:35, 11:35, 12:38).

Meanwhile, Noah Strawn (Wareham, Mass.) opened up the scoring in the contest at the 7:33 mark of the first period.

In goal, Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) stopped 17 shots to improve his record to 4-1-1 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • O'Brien is now the winningest goalie in program history with a record of 38-13-3.
  • The Gulls are 12-1-0 all-time against Western New England.
  • Endicott is undefeated on the road this season (4-0-0).
