No. 12 Men’s Ice Hockey Upends Tufts, 6-1

BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 12 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team earned a 6-1 non-conference victory over Tufts University on Tuesday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Connor Beatty (Concord, N.H.), Eric Johansson (Malmo, Sweden), Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.), Drew Lorinchak (Hamilton, Va.), Connor Amsley (Carlisle, Pa.), and Ryan Bell (Waltham, Mass.) all scored in the win.

Meanwhile, in goal, Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) stopped 39 shots to improve to 8-3-1 overall (42-15-3 career).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 4-1-1 all-time against Tufts.
  • The Gulls have outscored the Jumbos 19-5 in their last five meetings (3-0-0).
  • Bell potted his first career goal in his collegiate debut.
  • Bell also is the second student-athlete in program history to record a shorthanded tally as his first career goal (Brendan Shane vs. Curry, 12/1/2016, win 11-0), but the first to do so on an empty netter.
  • Endicott is 4-1-1 at home this season.

No. 12 Endicott (9-3-1) hosts Nichols on Friday, January 14 at 7 PM. Tufts (1-8-1) travels to Hamilton this Friday at 7 PM.
