Women's Volleyball Takes Home Two Major Academic Awards

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team has received the 2023 United States Marine Corps (USMC) - American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.

The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average (GPA) of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale. 

In addition to claiming a USMC-ACVA Team Academic Award, the Gulls were also named to the 2023 USMC-AVCA Team Academic Award Honor Roll.

To qualify for this award, a team's GPA must rank inside the top 20% of its division.  

Year in Review 

The Gulls went 22-9 (8-1 CCC) and claimed its third straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship on the road against crosstown rival Gordon, 3-0, before falling to Salisbury in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, 3-0.
