Women’s Volleyball Turns Away Roger Williams, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team defeated Roger Williams, 3-0, by scores of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-20 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Thursday night at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Amanda Gilbert (West Falmouth, Mass.) and Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) anchored the Gulls' attack behind double-digit kill performances.

Gilbert produced 12 kills and 11 digs (both match-highs), while Schueler notched 10 kills on 18 swings (.444).

The Gulls also saw Sophie Breitenbach (Newport, R.I.) and Kelsey Sanborn (Londonderry, N.H.) contribute nine and eight kills, respectively.

Ella Koelb (Auburn, N.H.) and Lauren McGrath (Franklin, Mass.) split duties running the offense, which hit a season-best .330 on the night, via 24 and 16 assists apiece.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 23-19 all-time against Roger Williams.
  • Endicott has won five in a row versus the Hawks dating back to 9/28/19.
  • The Gulls have only dropped one set at home this season (4-0 overall).
  • Along with her match-high 24 assists, Koelb recorded 10 digs to tally her third double-double of the season.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (8-3, 2-0 CCC) hosts Middlebury this Saturday at 2 PM as part of Homecoming & Family Weekend. Roger Williams (4-8, 1-2 CCC) takes on host Wheaton (Mass.) and Framingham State at 11 AM and 1 PM, respectively, on Saturday, October 1.
