Women’s Volleyball Falls To Emerson, 3-0

BOSTON, Mass. — The Endicott women's volleyball team lost to Emerson, 3-0, by scores of 25-20, 25-15, and 25-15 in non-conference action on Thursday night.

Amanda Gilbert (West Falmouth, Mass.) guided the Gulls offensively via a team-high nine kills. Gilbert enters Saturday's match against Wentworth one kill away from 1,000 in her career.

Kelsey Sanborn (Londonderry, N.H.) also chipped in with seven kills, while Lauren McGrath (Franklin, Mass.) fell one dig shy of a double-double (10 assists, nine digs).

Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) rounded out the list of highlights with a team-high 13 digs.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Tonight's match featured nine ties (2-5-2) and only six lead changes (0-4-2).
  • Emerson is 9-1 at home this season.
  • Despite the loss, the Gulls still lead the all-time series, 5-3.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (15-7) hosts Wentworth on Saturday, October 22 at 3 PM. Emerson (15-3) travels to Amherst this Saturday at 2 PM.
