NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Endicott women's volleyball team was taken down by Coast Guard in non-conference action on Saturday by a 3-0 final. The Gulls lost a tight first set 26-24 before faltering 25-18 and 25-19 in the final two to fall to 14-6 on the season, while Coast Guard improves to 15-5.
Amanda Gilbert (West Falmouth, Mass.) and Kelsey Sanborn (Londonderry, N.H.) tied for the team-lead with eight kills a piece in the defeat to lead Endicott's offensive attack. Sanborn tied for the match-high hitting percentage with her .429 effort (8-2-14), while Gilbert added nine digs on the defensive end.
Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) finished with a team-best 12 digs to lead the back line, while Alexandra Tecun (Hawthorne, Calif.) picked up 11 of her own.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) and Colleen McAvoy (Coventry, Conn.) each posted seven kills, and three blocks on the evening
- Setters Lauren McGrath (Franklin, Mass.) and Ella Koelb (Auburn, N.H.) recorded 14 and 13 assists in the 6-2 offense.

Endicott (14-6, 5-0 CCC) will look to remain undefeated in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Tuesday when the Gulls host the Golden Bears of Western New England at 7:00 PM.
