Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Nichols, 3-0

DUDLEY, Mass. – The Endicott women's volleyball team defeated Nichols, 3-0, by scores of 25-12, 25-18, and 25-21 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Tuesday night at the Nichols Athletic Center.

Amanda Gilbert (West Falmouth, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls with nine kills (match-high), 12 digs, five aces, and two block assists.

Kelsey Sanborn (Londonderry, N.H.) contributed seven kills to the victory, while Krystina Schueler (Trumbull, Conn.) and Colleen McAvoy (Coventry, Conn.) chipped in with six and five putaways, respectively.

Lauren McGrath (Franklin, Mass.) ran the offense with 16 assists and Emma Ruel (Duxbury, Mass.) guided the defense with a match-high 15 digs.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 6-0 all-time against Nichols.
  • The Gulls have only dropped one set in the all-time series.
  • Endicott pushed its winning streak to five straight matches tonight.
  • The Gulls also handed Nichols its second loss at home this fall (5-2 overall).
  • Ruel has registered 10 or more digs in six matches this season (20 versus Bowdoin, 9/9/22, one shy of tying her career-high).

Endicott (10-3, 3-0 CCC) hosts Salve Regina on Thursday, October 6 at 6 PM. Nichols (12-6, 1-3 CCC) visits Roger Williams on Wednesday, October 12 at 6 PM.
