Gilbert Named CCC Player of the Week

BEVERLY, Mass. - Following the Endicott women's volleyball team's 2-0 week that saw the Gulls sweep Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) rival Roger Williams and Middlebury, Amanda Gilbert (West Falmouth, Mass.) has been named CCC Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office earlier this afternoon.

Gilbert started the week with a 12 kill, 11 dig, double-double effort in the team's sweep of the Hawks. Her 12 kills, 14.0 points, and 11 digs, were all match-highs, while her .370 average (12-2-27) was good for third best in the match (minimum of 10 attempts). The graduate student followed that performance with a 10 kill, 11 dig double-double, her fifth of the year, in the team's emphatic 3-0 sweep of Middlebury. Against the Panthers, Gilbert finished hitting .308 (10-2-26), as she registered 10.5 points, the second-highest output in the match.

For the week, Gilbert hit .340, averaging 3.67 kills/set, 3.67 digs/set and 4.08 points/set, raising her season averages to 3.15 kills/set, 2.85 digs/set, 3.8 points/set, as well as raising her hitting percentage to .265. This is her second CCC Player of the Week honor in 2022.
