No. 9 Women’s Ice Hockey Edges Suffolk, 4-3

EAST BOSTON, Mass. — The No. 9 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Suffolk, 4-3, in conference action on Friday night.

Tied 3-3 late in the third period, Kaylee Liberty (Arlington Heights, Ill.) potted her fifth career game-winning goal to lift the Gulls to the pivotal conference victory.

Liberty also netted a game-tying goal in the second period (2-2, 2:21), while Morgan Sisson (Concord, N.H.) and Jess Burwell (Hooksett, N.H.) also found the back of the twine in the win.

In goal, Michaela O'Brien (Pembroke, Mass.) stopped 15 shots to improve to 8-3-1 on the season (16-3-1 career).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 6-1-0 against Suffolk all-time.
  • Endicott is 9-2-0 on the road this season.
  • Liberty stuffed home a loose puck near the right post for the game-winner.

No. 9 Endicott (16-4-1, 14-2-1 CCC) hosts Salve Regina tomorrow at 3 PM (Senior Day). 

Suffolk (19-5-0, 14-4-0 CCC) awaits the release of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament pairings on Saturday, which will determine its opponent in the playoffs next week.
