No. 10 Women’s Ice Hockey Tops Western New England, 4-1

BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 10 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Western New England, 4-1, in conference action on Saturday evening at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Jacy Kuhlman (Severna Park, Md.), Catherine Miles (Northfield, Vt.), Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Maine), and Kellie Popkin (Walpole, Mass.) all scored in the victory.

The Gulls raced out to a 3-0 lead in the contest behind tallies from Kuhlman (5:08 – 1st), Miles (14:56 – 1st), and Sullivan (00:07 – 2nd) and never looked back. Popkin capped the scoring in the third with her first career power play tally (5:52).

Meanwhile, in goal, Michaela O'Brien (Pembroke, Mass.) stopped 13 shots to improve to 4-0-0 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Today was the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
  • Endicott is undefeated at home this season 3-0-0.
  • Miles netted her first goal of the season.
