No. 10 Women’s Ice Hockey Edges Suffolk, 3-2

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 10 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Suffolk, 3-2, in conference action on Monday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Endicott received goals from Sami Barletta (Walpole, Mass.), Jacy Kuhlman (Severna Park, Md.), and Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass.) in the victory.

Barletta opened up the scoring with her first collegiate goal at the 5:14 mark of the first period, while Kuhlman and Fantasia potted tallies in the second (1:19 | 15:14, GWG).

In goal, Bailey Thieben (North Syracuse, N.Y.) made 24 saves in the win (6-1-0), including a period-best 12 in the final 20 minutes of action.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 5-1-0 all-time against Suffolk (3-1-0 at home).
  • Thieben earned her 12th career win (12-1-0).
  • The Gulls ended Suffolk's five-game winning streak.
  • Tonight's road loss was only the second for the Rams this season (8-2-0).

No. 10 Endicott (12-4-1, 10-4-1 CCC) welcomes the University of New England to its campus on Friday, February 4 at 7 PM.

Suffolk (14-3-0, 9-2-0 CCC) hosts Curry this Friday at 6 PM.
