BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's ice hockey student-athletes Bailey Thieben (North Syracuse, N.Y.) and Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass.) have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced by the league office earlier today. Thieben was named the CCC Goaltender of the Week, while Fantasia received CCC Rookie of the Week accolades.
Last week for the Gulls (1/31-2/6), Thieben earned two wins in games against Suffolk and Curry. Her first victory came in a 24-save performance against Suffolk. The Gulls came away with a 3-2 win in a matchup of the top two teams in the CCC standings. She followed that up with a 12-save shutout against Curry. For the week, she had a 1.00 goals-against average and a .947 save percentage.
Meanwhile, Fantasia was a solid contributor during Endicott's 3-0-0 week. She scored three points with one goal and two assists. Fantasia's only goal of the week came at an opportune time, scoring the game-winner in the Gulls' 3-2 victory over Suffolk. She followed that up with a pair of assists in a 7-0 win over Curry.
Today's announcement marks Thieben's second CCC Goaltender of the Week award this season and Fantasia's first career CCC Rookie of the Week honor.

No. 10 Endicott (14-4-1, 12-2-1 CCC) travels to Western New England this Friday at 7 PM.
