No. 8 Women's Ice Hockey Falls To UNE, 3-2

BIDDEFORD, Maine — The No. 8 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team fell to the University of New England (UNE), 3-2, on Friday night in conference action at the Harold Alfond Forum.

The Gulls flew out to a fast start when Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Maine) scored at the 5:43 mark give Endicott an early 1-0 advantage in the first period of play.

UNE quickly countered with a goal of their own until Morgan Sisson (Concord, N.H.) answered back with another Endicott goal after 3:22 had elapsed in the second period.

From there, the Gulls allowed two unanswered Nor'easter scores to wrap up the contest.  

Meanwhile, Bailey Thieben (North Syracuse, N.Y.) registered 13 saves in the game (2-1-0).

BEYOND THE BOX 

  • Endicott is now 7-2 in the all-time series over UNE.
  • Quin Healy (Melrose, Mass.), Kat Keith (Westwood, Mass.), Kaylee Liberty (Arlington Heights, Ill.), and Nicole Connor (Wrentham, Mass.) all recorded assists. 
  • Sullivan scored her fourth goal of the year. 
  • Sisson netted her first collegiate goal.

WHAT'S NEXT 

No. 8 Endicott (3-1-0, 2-1-0 CCC) and UNE (2-2-0, 2-1-0 CCC) will play again tomorrow at the Raymond J. Bourque Arena at 3 PM.
