PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — The No. 9 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team fell to No. 2 Middlebury, 2-1, on Sunday evening in the Cardinal/Panther Classic at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena, hosted by Plattsburgh State.
Quin Healy (Melrose, Mass.) scored the lone goal for the Gulls 17-seconds into the second period.
From there, the Panthers evened up the contest at 1:09 of the third and found the game-winner at the 10:01 mark of the same stanza.
Meanwhile, in goal, Michaela O'Brien (Pembroke, Mass.) made 34 saves in the loss (5-1-0 this season/13-1-0 career).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Tonight's loss snapped Endicott's four-game winning streak.
- Healy has scored five goals this season (second overall on the team).
- Healy potted three goals in this weekend's tournament.
- O'Brien made 90 saves over two games this weekend (program record 56 vs. No. 1 Plattsburgh).
- Both Healy and O'Brien were named to the All-Tournament Team.
- This was the sixth meeting all-time between the two programs.
