Men's Ice Hockey Battles Past Curry, 2-1

CANTON, Mass. - With just 57 seconds left in regulation, Azan Dorsett (Mickenny, Texas) scored to send the Endicott men's ice hockey team past Curry, 2-1, on Saturday evening at the Canton Ice House. 

The Gulls also received a goal from Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.), who scored on the powerplay at 16:47 of the first period. 

Meanwhile, in goal, Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) made 28 saves, while Elijah Harris (Haverhill, Mass.) made one save and earned his first win of the season. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Both teams were receiving votes in the latest USCHO.com coaches poll. 
  • Sixteen wins are the most conference victories in program history for the Gulls. 
  • James Winkler (York, Maine), Jason Kalinowski (Stamford, Conn.), and Elliot Clemmons (Rochester, N.Y.) all contributed assists tonight for Endicott. 
  • The Gulls improved to 8-3-0 all-time over Curry with the win. 

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (20-5, 16-2 CCC) and Curry (17-5-3, 12-4-2 CCC) will now await the announcement of their respective seeding in the upcoming Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament later this week.
