Mazur Sends Men's Hockey Past Salve Regina, 4-3

BEVERLY, Mass. — With 2:04 remaining in overtime and the game tied 3-3 freshman forward Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.) buried the game-winning goal to send the Endicott men's hockey team past Salve Regina, 4-3.

All of the games other scoring was done in the first period. 

Mazur made it 1-0 Gulls at 6:30, then after the Seahawks responded with two goals of their own, Thomas Albert (Reading, Mass.) and Azan Dorsett (McKinney, Texas) responded for the Gulls at 14:30, and 17:59 respectively.

Meanwhile, Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) made 41 saves in net to improve to 15-4-0. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Jason Kalinowski (Stamford, Conn.) and Dorsett assisted on Endicott's game-winning goal. 
  • Tonight was the first time that Endicott has beat Salve Regina at the Raymond J. Bourque Arena. 
  • The Gulls have won two in a row over the Seahawks for the first time in program history. 

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (15-5-0, 11-2-0 CCC) and Salve Regina (8-4-1 CCC) will face off again tomorrow in Portsmouth R.I. at 7:05 PM.
