BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott junior forward Jake Simons (Coral Springs, Fla.) and freshmen forward Connor Amsley (Carlisle, Pa.) have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Weekly Awards, as announced by the league office earlier today. Simons was named the CCC Player of the Week, while Amsley claimed CCC Rookie of the Week honors for the first time in their respective careers.
Last week against Salem State, Simons scored two goals, including the game-winner, in Endicott's 5-0 victory over the Vikings on Thursday (Dec. 12). Both tallies came on the power play and were two of the five shots Simons registered in the contest. The junior has now scored two goals in back-to-back games for the Gulls.
Meanwhile, Amsley registered his first collegiate multi-point game last week against Salem State as he recorded one goal and one assist. Both points came in the third period as Amsley dished out the helper on the Gulls' first score of the period before scoring a goal of his own, the first of his collegiate career, to close out the scoring for the night.
