BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Endicott men's ice hockey team earned a 4-2 conference victory over No. 11 nationally ranked University of New England (UNE) on Saturday night at the Harold Alfond Forum.
Freshman forward Zach Mazur (Lancaster, N.Y.) scored twice – including the game-winning goal at 3:29 of the second period – to lead the Gulls to the victory.
Endicott also received tallies from James Winkler (York, Maine) and Luke Rodgers (Clarkston, Mich.) in the win.
Meanwhile, Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) made a game-high 30 saves (10 in each period) to move his record to 5-1-0 on the season.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Mitch Shaheen (North Andover, Mass.) posted a team-high nine face-off wins.
- Rodgers had the primary assist on Mazur's game-winner. Rodgers now has recorded a multi-point game twice this season.
- Endicott is 3-1-0 on the road.
- O'Brien has logged 30 or more saves in back-to-back games.
- The Nor'easters are nationally ranked No. 11 in the latest USCHO.com poll.
