BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's hockey team fell to Colby College, 3-1, on Tuesday afternoon at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.
The Mules opened the scoring through Jacob Thousand (Waunakee, Wis.) who buried a wrist shot from the left point through a screen at 3:22 in the first period.
Alex Bourhas (L'lle-Bizard Quebec) added the second Colby goal on the power play when he redirected a shot from the point doubling the Colby lead at 8:39 of the second period
The Gulls then responded via Mitch Shaheen (North Andover, Mass.) who scored at 2:23 of the third period off of a scrum in front to make it 2-1.
Colby then extended their lead back to two when Robert Cerepak (Saddle River, N.J.) put home his own rebound at 9:03 in the third period.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- This was the first meeting between Colby and Endicott since November 29, 2015.
- Colby now leads the all-time series over Endicott, 2-0.
- Eric Johansson (Malmo, Sweeden), and Bump Lisk (Lawrenceville, N.J.) registered the assists on the lone Endicott goal.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (7-4) will face Elmira on Friday, January 3 at 4 PM in the W.B. Mason Winter Classic, hosted by Plattsburgh State. Colby (4-5) will host Amherst on Friday, January 10 at 7 PM.
